As a unit of the Office of Talent, Culture, and Engagement, the MavTemp program provides temporary staffing services to departments across campus. While the need for specific skill sets varies depending on the assignment needed at a given time, MavTemp seeks to maintain a diverse pool of candidates who possess a variety of different types of knowledge, skills, and experience.

The MavTemp program is a new program to UTA. As of June 2023, we are looking for administrative professionals. Once we expand the program, an array of temporary positions in other areas will become available to applicants.
Once you have submitted your application you will receive an email confirming your application has been received. All applications are reviewed and screened by our MavTemp team. If you meet the qualifications for the position, a MavTemp recruiter will contact you directly to set up a screening call/interview.
Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to respond to every applicant for a temporary opening.
We review applications on an ongoing basis. You can expect to hear from us within two weeks or sooner if we are interested in pursuing your application.
Your appointment length may vary based on assignment. The longest that your position may last is 90 days. You can be re-employed in a new temporary assignment or re-employed in the same assignment after a 31 day or full month break in employment. MavTemp will notify you as this mandatory break assignment is approaching. Employment through MavTemp services may be terminated at any time with or without cause and UTA is an at-will employer.
While we continuously seek to retain outstanding employees, we cannot guarantee a full-time position. Whenever possible, the successful completion of a temporary assignment could lead to a full-time role, or to a referral to another department.
Yes. We encourage you to actively search for regular employment here at UTA. Please make sure to keep the lines of communication open with you manager and the MavTemp and request time off in advance when you have an opportunity to interview.
MavTemp employees are not eligible for employee benefits. However, there are many perks and discounts available to UTA employees that MavTemps can take advantage of while employed in the MavTemp program.
Parking is available on campus, however, to park in staff parking (anywhere on campus) a parking permit is required. You can purchase a discounted parking pass through the Parking & Transportation website.
