Aspiring Leaders Program

The Aspiring Leaders Program (ALP) is designed to empower individuals at all levels, reinforcing the idea that leadership is about influence, self-awareness, and relationships, rather than authority. It fosters the development of leadership skills through discovery and reflection. ALP is ideal for those who aspire to lead with purpose and make an impact, regardless of their formal role in the organization.

Participants will engage in a transformative journey focused on understanding their personal strengths, improving interpersonal skills, and enhancing their ability to drive change and accountability through intentional, reflective practices.

The program does not focus on supervision or management skills. Instead, it offers a comprehensive approach to understanding yourself, how you influence others, and how you achieve results.

Curriculum

The Aspiring Leaders Program consists of 9 in-person sessions, structured around a cohort model to foster collaboration and peer learning. The sessions focus on practical application and personal leadership development. Each session provides participants with the opportunity to engage in role-playing, group discussions, and leadership projects, ensuring that lessons can be put into practice immediately. Upon completion, participants will possess key leadership skills, real-life tools, and a strategic understanding of how to lead with impact.

Learning Objectives

Module 1: Leading Relationships

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Enhance leadership through relationship-building and collaboration techniques.

Module 2: Leading Purpose

  • Purpose-Driven Leadership: Align leadership strategies with UTA’s core values and mission to drive purpose within teams and projects.

Module 3: Leading Accountability

  • Problem-Solving and Accountability: Strengthen problem-solving abilities and learn how to hold yourself and others accountable for actions.

Module 4: Leading Change:

  • Change Leadership and Adaptability: Develop strategies to adapt to and manage change, both personally and organizationally
