National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity

This nationally-recognized, independent organization provides online career development resources for faculty, post-docs, and graduate students. It supports academic careers with workshops and intensive mentoring programs to increase research productivity and improve working relationships with department colleagues. Special attention is given to the challenges faced by underrepresented faculty.

The Texas Academic Leadership Academy (TALA) is a year-long, intensive leadership experience aimed at developing aspiring academic leaders’ leadership skills with the support of the Texas Council of Chief Academic Officers (TCCAO) and Sam Houston State University.

UTA is partnering with ACUE to offer the Effective Teaching Practices Course to faculty. The course consists of 25 modules that faculty complete online working with a cohort of other faculty and guided by a facilitator from UTA.
