The UTA Leadership Academy is designed as a broad leadership development program that includes the essential characteristics and skills needed to be an effective leader in a higher education environment.
The program will focus on practical leadership topics, issues within higher education, and personal leadership development. It is based on a semester cohort of fifteen to twenty faculty. Faculty participants can be nominated to the academy by self-nomination or recommendation by a Chair/Director/Supervisor, Vice President, or Dean.
A selection committee will then determine which nominees will participate in the spring semester 2025 cohort. Faculty nominees can be tenured or full-time APT faculty members.
