Hailey Carson, LMSW

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Hailey Carson

Research Interests/Clinical Practice Expertise: I am interested in how technology can be utilized not only within the educational field, but also the contributions that can be made to clients throughout the therapy or counseling process. This would include all types of modalities and create a different way of understanding that might achieve a higher level of post-therapy recovery than just traditional methods. Especially for utilizing empowerment theories and exposure therapies within a safe environment. Technology can also be used to allow students and future social workers or professionals build confidence by having 'interactions' in a way similar to the world outside of school to gain a level of experience they cannot achieve just by reading books and the few months they may spend in an internship. My LMSW is in Children and Families, however I also have a focus on psychology and at this current moment am working as the Social work and Nursing librarian full-time here at UTA!
