Learn More About Our MSWSocial Work is one of the most diverse degrees on the market, and many of our students come from non-social work disciplines. When you enroll in our CSWE-Accredited Master of Social Work program, you join a school of passionate students, staff, and faculty dedicated to improving social welfare for individuals from all communities.
Students applying with a non-BSW degree or a BSW degree from a non-CSWE accredited program will be accepted as a Traditional Standing student and enroll in our 2-Year program, starting with our Foundation Year curriculum.
If you have a BSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program within the last six years you will be accepted as an Advanced Standing student and enroll in our 1-Year program, directly entering their Advanced Year curriculum. Our MSW program is comprised of five specialties students can choose for their Specialty Year, and upon enrolling students can select a specialty focusing on their desired practice.

UTA Graduate Admissions office will calculate your GPA based on transcripts submitted. With a 3.0 or better GPA in approximately your last 60 university-level undergraduate credit hours, you can qualify for quick admission and be admitted to our MSW program.
You will be notified if your GPA is calculated to be less than 3.0 in approximately your last 60 university-level undergraduate hours and some additional documentation may be requested.
Attending an Graduate Admissions Information Session provides you with a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from the School of Social Work and discuss the MSW program.
