Students wanting the benefits of in-person interaction with professors and peers in a traditional classroom setting have many options. Our foundation Master of Social Work classes and a selection of specialty classes are offered weekdays in the morning, afternoon, and evening for full-time and part-time students. Because we are a large School of Social Work, we can offer multiple sections of graduate courses each semester. With our state-of-the-art new building, our classrooms include the latest in technology and resources.

In-Person in Fort Worth


Are you in West Fort Worth or is the drive to Arlington too far for you but you still wish to pursue in-person experiences? The School of Social Work offers some Master of Social Work courses at our conveniently located Fort Worth downtown campus.

Benefits of Fort Worth Campus

  • Offered at UT Arlington Fort Worth location
  • Classes meet two evenings per week (except for one online course for Advanced Standing students)
  • Once the foundation year (or BSW degree with admission to the MSW advanced standing) is completed, the program can be completed in 12 months
  • Includes field practicum (advanced field is focused on Fort Worth cohort Specialty/Specialties)
  • Cohort-based (curriculum is predetermined and students remain together throughout the program)

Texas Resident Online Program


We have offered our MSW Online Program to Texas residents and U.S. military personnel and their family members for several years. Our professors are well-trained and experienced in offering online education. Our staff and faculty will support you throughout your education journey.

Our asynchronous online MSW program allows you to complete your classes and course work for four of our five specialties on your time from wherever you are. If you are a Texas Resident, you can receive the same affordable in-state tuition as our in-area students.
