Network of engaged alums & volunteers

Status:  In Progress

Overview

The University of Texas at Arlington is committed to activating its network of 280,000-plus alumni and friends, the majority of whom live in North Texas. This includes efforts to expand programming and digital engagement opportunities for UTA alumni, as well as building a robust network of volunteers who will strengthen our communities and advance the University’s strategic priorities. Recognizing the vital role that our alumni and friends will continue to play in supporting student success, enhancing the University’s reputation, and expanding its reach, UTA is prioritizing these efforts to create meaningful connections among our Maverick family.

Impact

The establishment of a strong, engaged alumni and volunteer network will have far-reaching impacts at UTA. These impacts will be measured through the CASE Alumni Engagement Metrics (AEM), which emphasize volunteerism, philanthropic support, communication, and participation in programming/digital offerings as the pillars to an engaged alumni community. Steady increases in each of these areas will generate significant benefits for the institution, its students, and the broader community.

Associated Strategies:

  • Create a culture of engagement with our faculty, staff, students, and alumni community to move the University forward and achieve its mission.
  • Maximize UTA's impact in the communities it serves through leadership and advocacy.
  • Promote the prosperity and achievement of our community through active advocacy, assistance, and collaborative partnerships.
  • Elevate UTA's brand as a top-tier university through strategic marketing and branding.
