FULLY ONLINE MSW COHORT PROGRAM

The top-ranked fully online MSW Cohort program at The University of Texas at Arlington offers a web-based instruction by prominent national and international scholars. Professors who teach our face-to-face classes, also teach our online classes. We offer full-time (1 to 2 years) and part-time online MSW degree plans (1 to 3 years). We do not offer part-time cohorts but have tailored degree plans for part-time students. MSW students can choose from four specialties with online cohorts for the Advanced Year and the Foundation Year. Traditional students with no BSW degree must complete the Foundation Year first and then they move to the Advanced year. Qualified BSW graduates can have their first year (Foundation Year) waived and go straight into the Advanced Year.

ADVANCED YEAR ONLINE 12 MONTHS FULL-TIME COHORTS

We offer a 12-month full-time online cohort for Advanced Year students for the following MSW specialties: 1) Community & Administrative Practice, 2) Direct Practice in Aging, 3) Direct Practice in Mental Health & Substance Misuse, and 4) Direct Practice with Children & Families. Depending on the specialty degree plan chosen by the student, classes are 8-weeks, 11-weeks or 16-weeks long. The 12-month online Advanced Year cohorts for Direct Practice in Aging and Community & Administrative Practice start every Fall semester only.

The 12-month online Advanced Year cohorts for Direct Practice in Mental Health & Substance Misuse and Direct Practice with Children & Families start every Fall and Spring semester.

Remember: The Advanced Year is the second year of the MSW program. Generally, qualified BSW graduates can start the MSW program in the Advanced Year and the Foundation Year is waived. All Traditional Students (those without a BSW degree and those not meeting other requirements), must first complete the Foundation Year (the first year of the MSW program) and then they select a specialty to complete the Advanced Year (second year of the MSW program). We also offer fully online Foundation Year (first year) cohorts starting every Fall and Spring semester for Traditional students.

Note: Although there are some advantages to being in a cohort, MSW students do not have to be in a cohort to complete the program. You can just register and enroll in MSW courses as available to meet your degree requirements.
