Discipline

ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTER

Primary duties will include assisting on the firm’s project production including CAD drafting, specifications, field verification/site meetings, and correspondence with client, consultants, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Candidate should have proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD, and 1 years experience working at an architecture firm or in an engineering or construction field. Candidate should be a 5th year architecture student with expected graduation date in the spring of 2025, or recent grad.
Work is on an hourly W2 basis, part time during normal business hours, 9am-5pm CST on site at the Irving TX office location. The expected average is presently estimated at 17 hours per week. Remote working is not permitted.

Development Services Intern

The City of Carrollton is currently seeking an Intern for our Development Services Department. The position is part-time (30 hours/week) and offers valuable experience in various aspects of development services, including preparing case reports, reviewing plats, coordinating case processing, managing GIS data, and conducting research. Tasks will vary depending on the student’s experience and skills, providing a tailored learning experience for each intern. This is an excellent opportunity for students majoring in fields such as Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Science, GIS, or a related field to gain practical, hands-on experience.
