Meet with academic advisor to choose content areas or pathway plan.

Complete your UTA Core.
Use UTA's Degree Map to track your progress, plan your future semesters, and check out career opportunities in your field.
Enroll in your full year of coursework and meet with your advisor once per semester to make sure you are on track.
Ask your advisor about campus events and opportunities.
Enroll in UNIV 1101 or UNIV 1000 to familiarize yourself with UTA and its programs, and start exploring career paths.
Visit the Maverick Scholarshop and search for scholarship opportunities that apply to you.

Attend a Maverick Activities Fair or a Study Abroad Fair to discover unique opportunities.

volunteer opportunities. Attend a Service Learning luncheon to meet with other students who have completed service learning projects and worked with local organizations.
Visit your professor's office hours to talk about potential research or volunteer opportunities.
Consider tutoring through UTA's Academic Success Center.
Meet with the Lockheed Martin Career Development Center to take the FOCUS 2 self-assessment and discover career options.
Join a student organization that pertains to your future career plans.
Start to think about courses you enjoy or excel in, and research career paths in those areas.
