TEXAS HIGHER EDUCATION ASSESSMENT (THEA IBT)

THEA Test (IBT)

The THEA exam may not be used for UTA's Teacher Education program entrance or as an exemption to the TSI. UTA Testing Services offers the THEA to students from other universities.  

The THEA is a four-hour, computer administered exam. Registration is available online up to 24 hours prior to the desired test date.

THEA TEST REGISTRATION - TWO STEP PROCESS

1. You can register on the UTA Testing Services Scheduling site. 

Fees: $45 non-refundable administration fee payable to UTA; and $29 testing fee to THEA (see below). 

2.After you sign up for a test date, go to http://www.thea.nesinc.com/TA_IBTregchecklist.asp to purchase your THEA test and any study materials. You cannot take your THEA test without knowing the email address and password used for purchasing the exam.

SCORE INFORMATION

Final scores are posted approximately two (2) business days after you take the THEA IBT Test.
