In case of emergency
In rare cases, an emergency at UTA may close parts of campus for a short period of time. Students will be notified of campus emergencies through MavAlerts – messages delivered by email and text to keep our campus community safe.
All new students are encouraged to register for MavAlerts prior to orientation. Simply log into your Student Center in MyMav, and enter your cell phone number as a “Mobile” phone. You can register up to three mobile numbers in MyMav, so family members’ can receive MavAlerts as well.
During a campus emergency, New Maverick Orientation will provide messages on our website with important instructions and information for our participants. Visit our website often for updates during the emergency period. Please be aware that our office may not be open to respond to phone calls or emails during campus emergencies.
Refund Policy
Please be advised that in order to receive a refund, requests must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the scheduled Orientation or Maventure Camp session. This time frame is essential as it allows us to finalize accurate attendee counts and logistical arrangements. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy. If your refund is for Orientation, email Orientation@uta.edu. If it is for Maventure Camp, please email Maventure@uta.edu.
