Dr. Dhaliwal's research concentrates on the effects of emerging technologies on human cognition, emotion, and behavior in both online and offline settings. His work employs diverse methodologies to examine individual differences in vulnerabilities to internet addiction, social media misuse, and the impact of framing on decision-making. Before joining UTA as an instructor, he earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from UTA in 2021. For his dissertation, he collaborated with the Fine Arts Department to create a video game aimed at enhancing financial literacy among middle school students on the autism spectrum. Every summer, Dr. Dhaliwal offers local high school students the opportunity to learn research methodologies, data analysis, and presentation skills, culminating in participation in regional science fairs and psychology conferences. Currently, he is developing educational resources for courses in Cyber Psychology
