Psychology Minors

The UTA Department of Psychology offers a minor in psychology with four options:

General Psychology minor

The General Psychology minor consists of 18 credit hours or more in psychology (PSYC) courses. A minimum 2.0 GPA must be maintained in the minor. Students must complete at least nine hours toward the minor at UTA, and six of the nine must be 3000 or 4000 level courses. To request a minor be added to your degree plan, please complete the minor request form and seek approval from your academic advisor. Once completed, return it to the Psychology Department office in Life Sciences Building Room 313. 

 

Clinical Health Psychology minor

The Clinical Health Psychology minor consists of 18 credit hours or more in psychology (PSYC) courses. A minimum 2.0 GPA (calculated only by the PSYC courses you take in residency) must be maintained in the minor. To request a minor be added to your degree plan, please complete the  minor request form and seek approval from your academic advisor.

** A maximum of 6 hours of honors thesis, research, or reading credits may be applied to the minor.

Neuroscience minor

The Neuroscience minor consists of 18 credit hours or more in psychology (PSYC) courses. A minimum 2.0 GPA must be maintained in the minor. To request a minor be added to your degree plan, please complete the minor request form and seek approval from your academic advisor.
