UTA emerges as hub for next-gen air travel
UTA researchers are laying the groundwork for the future of urban air mobility—flying taxis—in North Texas. From designing "vertiports" (landing pads) at major airports to developing automated composite manufacturing for smaller aircraft, the university is addressing the infrastructure and safety systems required for this new mode of transit. This work positions UTA at the forefront of urban development, helping cities transition from ground-based congestion to flexible, flight-based transportation systems.
