Fall 2024 Move-In Weekend

 

Move-in day will be on Friday, August 16, 2024!

Please note: You must be checked into the hall before 10 p.m. on Monday, August 19th, 2024 or you will be considered a No-Show, assessed penalties and your contract will be cancelled. If you are going to be arriving late, please notify your Residence Director so that you are not marked as a no show. 

 

Review your housing assignment email

All residents will receive a housing assignment email in their UTA email. Make sure to read through the email, as it contains important information about:

  • Housing assignment and mailing address
  • Move-in date (Your move-in time will be sent in a separate email later in the summer)
  • Roommate information
  • And more...!

Contact your roommates (if applicable)

Your housing assignment email has your roommates’ contact information. Touch base with them before you arrive to get to know each other and discuss who will bring what. Does your roommate have a mini fridge that they’d like to bring? Do you want to bring a table for the living area? 

Know what TO and NOT to bring

Our By-Bed units are already fully furnished, so no additional furniture is needed. We always suggest waiting until you move in and see your space before buying big items and decorations. Target and Walmart are both within a 10-minute drive from campus. 

Please note that items may not be shipped to your on-campus address before you move in. Additionally, University Housing does not accept furniture shipments.

Label your belongings

Make sure to label your items just in case!

Don't forget your MavID

Your Mav ID is your key to your building and your suite. You also need it to move in! So don’t pack it away in a box. Keep it in a place that is easily accessible so you can grab it when you arrive on campus.

 

Be weather aware

While we cannot predict the weather with absolute certainty, we do know that it will be HOT in August! Wear loose and light clothing, drink plenty of water, and bring sunscreen. Stay in the shade or indoors as much as possible, and take frequent breaks to avoid overheating.

 

 

 

New Student Move-In Information

Room numbers will be provided at check-in on the move-in date. Students must have their Mav ID Card and PIN number to check-in. You may find your PIN by logging onto https://get.cbord.com/uta/full/login.php and selecting "View information about your accounts."  For more information about Mav ID Cards, contact Mav Express at (817) 272-2645.
