The School of Nursing’s Smart Hospital, a simulated environment with lifelike computerized manikins, is one of six sites in the world recognized as a Center of Excellence in Simulation by Laerdal Medical.

In 2006 Design Intelligence Journal ranked the School of Architecture as the Most Innovative Architecture Program in the South.

Films by UT Arlington students and alumni have appeared at major festivals such as Cannes, Sundance and Munich, won national awards and contracts with national distributors, and received Emmy and Oscar nominations.

UT Arlington is one of seven universities in Texas and two in North Texas with an Honors College.

The Planetarium at UT Arlington features a 60-foot domed theater, seats 170 stargazers and boasts a state-of-the-art digital projection system. In addition to award-winning planetarium shows, the facility also hosts laser-light rock music evenings.
