In other chapter news, the following programs received awards from the Alumni Association:
Student Alumni Association News The Student Alumni Association’s tuition raffle received the Outstanding Internal Program Award in August from the Association for Student Advancement Programs. It’s the highest programming award an organization can receive. Recognized at ASAP’s International Network Conference in San Antonio, the tuition raffle bested programs from more than 300 higher education institutions throughout the nation. The SAA also submitted the Oozeball mud volleyball tournament for an outstanding program award and President Stephani Deen as an applicant for the Peter Buchanan Scholarship. ASAP is a professional organization for student alumni associations, student foundations and ambassador programs. The SAA held its fifth annual tuition raffle in August and awarded up to 12 hours of undergraduate, in-state tuition, excluding fees, for the fall 2006 semester. To give incoming students an opportunity to win, the SAA held raffle sales during the orientation, advising and registration sessions throughout the summer.
