Documents may be submitted in Person or by Email: va@uta.edu. Please include your UTA Maverick ID (ex: 100199493) and that all scanned documents are legible.

SPOUSE INFO

Public Law 113-146,  the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014, includes a provision that allows certain surviving spouses to take advantage of educational benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. These eligibility changes will be implemented effective January 1, 2015.

 

Certification Steps

Step 1

  • Click here to apply for education benefits through the VA and receive a Certificate of Eligibility.

Step 2

  • Submit the required documents to the UTA VA Office:
    • VA Certificate of Eligibility
    • Official Degree Plan, signed by your Academic Advisor (classes enrolled in must be listed)

Step 3

Required Each Semester

 

Step 1

  • Submit an updated Official Degree Plan, signed by your Academic Advisor IF courses you are enrolled in are not on file with the UTA VA Office.
