Winter Weather Information

Normal parking rules and services are planned to resume at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2023. Transportation shuttle buses will resume normal routes no later than 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Parking:
- Parking Under Cover: Active permit holders may park in any garage with their current permit through 7 a.m. Tuesday, January 16 to protect their vehicle from inclement weather. Additionally, our "After 7 p.m." parking rules will be in effect all day until 7 a.m. Tuesday, January 16 to allow for more flexibility when parking on campus. A permit is still required to park on campus.
- Garage Parking: The top floors and ramps of the College Park, West Campus, and Maverick parking garages may be closed due to possible icy conditions. Other areas may be closed off because of unsafe conditions.
Transportation:
- The Late Night Security Escort Service may have reduced or modified hours due to the road conditions. Students are encouraged to plan ahead and check to arrive at their final destination prior to any potential early closure of the service. Check the announcements in the UTA Mav Mover app for updated schedules.
- The MavMover Shuttle buses will return on Tuesday (1/16/24) unless road conditions deem otherwise. Please check the current announcements within the Doublemap app for the latest updates.
- The RAPID self-driving Via shuttle that operates between UTA and Downtown will be operating until road conditions deteriorate. The autonomous mode may be deactivated due to the weather. Monitor the Arlington Transportation app for the latest information.
- The Arlington Via service throughout the City of Arlington will be operating until road conditions deteriorate. Riders can get a free ride to Arlington warming stations from anywhere within the city. Monitor the Arlington Transportation app for the latest information.
