“I am interested in researching how and why states create international laws and agreements to target transnational organized crime, as well as why these designs vary."
Tell us a little about your story, what brought you to UTA?
I recently received my Ph.D. from Northwestern University. UTA made a great impression on me during my job talk and interview. The faculty in the department and CoLA were amazing and kind, and I felt that this could be my academic home. I've heard great things about the student population here and really appreciate the diversity the school offers. The research support provided by UTA is also wonderful. Additionally, I thought I would really enjoy living in the city, given its proximity to Dallas and Fort Worth.
What are your academic and research interests?
I am interested in researching how and why states create international laws and agreements to target transnational organized crime, as well as why these designs vary. More broadly, I am interested in the design of international institutions and the role of professionals and individuals in international cooperation at the nexus of international political economy and security.
Any desired interdisciplinary collaborations?
Considering my academic interests in transnational organized crime, I look forward to the potential to collaborate with colleagues in criminology.
University-wide, I would be interested in collaborating with colleagues who are interested in developing and advancing methods in qualitative and mixed-methods research.
