“I am eager to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, particularly those exploring the intersection of art, technology, and sustainability.”

Tell us a little about your story, what brought you to UTA?
After completing my Ph.D. with a focus on Indian political cartoons and their evolving role in communication, I pursued an MA in Advertising from the United States. This additional qualification helped me sharpen my skills to better navigate both national and international creative markets. I was drawn to UTA for its commitment to fostering interdisciplinary research and its focus on academic innovation. UTA's collaborative environment and practical application of knowledge make it the perfect place for me to further my research while equipping students with cutting-edge insights in the fields of visual communication and media arts.

What are your academic and research interests?
My research interests include visual communication, political commentary, and media arts, with a strong focus on sustainable art practices. I explore the role of political cartoons in shaping public discourse and the influence of AI-generated art on authorship and cultural identities. Additionally, I am interested in how sustainability can be integrated into creative processes to promote eco-conscious design in both the digital and physical art realms.

Any desired interdisciplinary collaborations?
I am eager to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, particularly those exploring the intersection of art, technology, and sustainability. I am also interested in working with researchers focused on AI's impact on media arts, as well as those looking to integrate sustainable practices into design and art production.

Anything else you’d like to share?
The goal of my work is to contribute to discussions on innovative approaches in visual communication, AI-generated art, and sustainable art practices. I am committed to academic growth by continually developing my research and staying updated through collaborative projects with industry professionals.
