About

The Society of Criminal Justice Students

The Society of Criminal Justice Students (SCJS) promotes the study of criminology and criminal justice, academic excellence, professionalism, and the strengthening of the community at The University of Texas at Arlington. We accomplish these goals in many ways, such as hosting trips to Texas-area prisons, police and combat simulation training, true crime events, and other social activities! We have guest speakers from community criminal justice agencies share their knowledge and experience with our students several times per semester, host CRCJ Week, and career fairs. We also give back to the community by having toy drives and volunteer opportunities with local agencies and groups.

All members must meet the following criteria:

*Be in good standing with The University of Texas at Arlington (Board members need at least 2.5 GPA)
*Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Arlington
*Have declared, or intended to declare CRCJ as the academic major, or have intended CRCJ as a minor for another field of study
*Submit $20 application fee for new members/$10 for returning members, via: CashApp $scjsmavs or PayPal.me/scjsmavs
