Student Alumni Association honored

UT Arlington’s Student Alumni Association (SAA) has received the Outstanding Student Alumni Association award from District Four of the Association of Student Advancement Programs (ASAP). The SAA’s tuition raffle received the most outstanding internal program award. The fifth annual raffle was held in February during the Blue and White Bash. The winner receives up to 12 hours of undergraduate, in-state tuition excluding fees. The SAA, which will compete for the ASAP national awards in August, serves as a liaison between the Alumni Association and the University by increasing school spirit, building lasting relationships with students and alumni, and producing student leaders. ASAP is a professional organization for student alumni associations, student foundations and ambassador programs. District Four comprises Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. For information, contact SAA adviser Jasmine Stewart at
817-272-2594.
