Clyde Ashworth

(’42 AS, General Studies), 87, March 28 in Arlington. Judge Ashworth had a law practice in Arlington for 15 years before being appointed judge of the 67th District Court in 1969. In 1982 he was elected a justice of the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth. He retired and took the status of senior judge in 1986 and served as a visiting judge on both trial and appellate courts. In 1996 the Tarrant County Bar Association presented him with its Silver Gavel Award for distinguished judicial service.
