Greek Week

Connecting with his inner Simba, Christopher Dinh donned the Lion King costume for a movie-themed talent show last spring during Greek Week. “I like to participate in all the craziness,” says Dinh, a communications technology senior and Beta Theta Pi fraternity member. “Especially if it’s representing the Greek community and shows that we aren’t the stereotypes that Hollywood has created.” The Betas collaborated on the skit with Delta Delta Delta sorority, including theatre arts major Raquel Wiseneske in the background. Greek Week is an annual celebration of UT Arlington’s social fraternities and sororities. This year’s events included a movie-themed fashion show, a service project for the Invisible Children program, a field day, and an awards ceremony.
