Wired for Recovery
A cross-discipline study helmed by bioengineering Professor Hanli Liu and social work assistant professor Alexa Smith-Osborne will help us understand why some veterans have difficulties learning when they return from their tours of duty. The study will also enable the researchers to explore better treatment for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other issues that hamper cognition.
