College Park District: It’s Official!
On Oct. 11, 2010, The University of Texas at Arlington joined the City of Arlington and First Baptist Church-Arlington in formally launching the new College Park District, a multiuse area spanning more than 20 acres on campus, from UTA Boulevard to Mitchell Street. President James D. Spaniolo, Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck, and Dennis Wiles, pastor of First Baptist Church-Arlington, all spoke at the groundbreaking. Watch video highlights of the ceremony.
