Each year, HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities) government relations staff works with members of Congress to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Serving Institutions in their communities. HACU member HSIs are encouraged to observe the HSI National Week with campus activities to heighten awareness of the important role HSIs play in improving access to education and advancement of students. The HSI National Week series of events provides opportunities to engage with UTA students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the community to share the opportunities the federal designation grants to the institution.
Join Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Initiatives Sept. 9-13 in celebrating National HSI Week with HSI Convocation on Monday, Sept. 9, La Kermés on Wednesday, Sept. 11, Noche de Película on Thursday, Sept. 12, and Day of Service on Friday, Sept. 13.
