The Center for Service learning (CSL) fosters academic community engagement to effect meaningful impact in our communities. Through programming along with personal guidance and support, CSL works with faculty to implement a service component into courses, integrating real-world experiences into academic content where students work in reciprocity with a nonprofit agency. By combining classroom knowledge with active community engagement, service learning courses equip students with marketable skills and empower them to become agents of positive change.
ACE Ambassadors support CSL by engaging with students, staff, faculty, and nonprofit partners through various on-campus activities, social media, flyers, planning sessions, and presentations. They collaborate within CSL and with the campus community, actively sharing ideas and information for the continuous growth and development of CSL's mission and vision and for promotion of the community engagement initiative. They support each other within their Ambassador team to ensure a cohesive and inclusive environment.
