Our mission at Black Theatre Society is to uplift, educate, and advocate for black students in theatre. We aim to create safe spaces, workshops, and mentorships programs that empower students, embrace uniqueness, explore creativity, and amplify voices both on and off the stage. We envision a future where black theatre students are celebrated, respected and have equal opportunities to thrive. Join us in shaping a more equitable and diverse theatrical landscape as we engage in dialogue, perform vibrant works of art, and celebrate our uniqueness within and without UTA.
USITT
Join our USITT Student Group to connect with peers passionate about technical theatre, design, and stage management. Enhance your skills through mentoring, networking, and hands-on projects, all while building a strong foundation for your future career in the arts.
Flight 12 Improv Group
Flight 12 Improv Troupe is all about learning, world-building, teamwork, and quick-thinking. Our group consists of a performance troupe that puts on smaller shows and larger performances, and substitutes that train with the troupe to be on standby for performances. We love to have fun, make each other laugh, and continue to grow our confidence, listening skills, and patience while we learn about both short and long form improv through workshops, games, and group exercises
