In addition, all new students (Freshman or transfer) must take either ANTH 1200 (PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES) or the UNIV equivalent course.
Contact the department advisor, Ms. Lauren Vanpool, for the list of approved courses for method, theory, and electives. The Anthropology program offers at least one Method and one Theory course each semester. These courses are identified as such in the course brochures.
Up to 6 hours of field school credit can be applied to the ANTH electives. To receive credit for a non-UTA field school, students must obtain clearance before attending the field school.
