This scholarship supports students who meet the following criteria: undergraduates or graduate students in English; have at least 9 hours of advanced English courses at UTA; must have a minimum GPA of 3.5; preference is given to applicants majoring in literature.
For undergraduates or graduates in English, with a preference given to those who have not been enrolled in an educational program (secondary school, junior college, college, or university) for 18 years or more.
Awards go to returning students majoring in English. Preference is given to students who had to withdraw from college because of unforeseen circumstances and decided to return at a later time in their life.
Undergraduates or graduate students are eligible. The scholarship provides support for deserving and academically promising students enrolled as a Junior or Senior or graduate.
Awarded on a competitive basis. Recipients must be full-time graduate students pursuing a Doctoral degree in English and hold a graduate assistantship of 50% or greater. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
The committee selects winners based on grades, submitted essays, academic accomplishments, professors' testimonies, experience. There are two annual award winners. By faculty nomination only.
Awarded to transfer student(s) majoring in English who have completed 60 credit hours at TCC. Applicants must have been accepted to UTA and have received their UTA log-in credentials, and also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Needs based per federal requirements as determined by UTA’s Financial Aid Office.
