Honors Students must attend three registration reward events each semester by the priority deadline (April 3rd) to receive first-day registration. Once students have attended three eligible events, their registration hold will be removed within two business days. Events noted with ** are not eligible to earn registration rewards.
Note: The Honors College loves acronyms, here's a key to help you decipher details below.

January
13 - First Day of Classes
15 - Strawberry Ice Cream Day - College Hall CAB, 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Its never too cold for ice cream! Celebrate National Strawberry Ice Cream day with the Honors College. Stop by the CAB for free ice cream for the first 100 attendees.
17 - Welcome Back Breakfast - College Hall CAB, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Honors students starting in Spring 2025- welcome! We will have breakfast tacos for you in the CAB. This will be an opportunity for you to get to know each other, your peer mentor, and get a tour of the Honors College space.
20 - Martin Luther King Day - campus closed
21 - Contracting Workshop - College Hall 101, 12:30 - 1:30 PM
Join our Honors Research Librarian, Collin, and our Undergraduate Research Program Manager, Makenzie, as they discuss all things contracting! Stuck and don't know how to fill out a contract? Unsure of the steps? Attend this session!
22 - HCC Meeting - College Hall 101, 12:00 PM
The Honors College Council will host their first meeting of the semester! Food will be provided for the first 60 attendees.
23 - Vision Board Night - College Hall CAB, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Start the new year off right by creating a vision board of your 2025 goals! Supplies and snacks will be provided.
27 - Pajama Party - College Hall 101, 5:00 - 7:00 PM
Join the Honors Programming Board for a cozy pajama party! Watch movies, eat yummy snacks, play games and earn an RR point in the process.
29 - Census Date
All Honors contracts must be submitted and signed by midnight.
30 - Friendship Bracelet Making - College Hall CAB, 3:30 - 5:30 PM

Celebrate 25 years of Honors with our 4th annual Honors Day! All UTA students, faculty, and staff are welcome. There will be games, raffles, rides, and ice cream!
10 - Honors at the Planetarium - UTA Planetarium, 3:00 PM

11 - Honors Research Symposium - UC Rio Grande, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Honors students will be presenting their capstone research projects at this symposium held in the University Center Rio Grande Ballroom.
14-th-16th - Honors Egg Hunt - College Hall, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hunt for eggs filled with candy and prizes throughout College Hall.

HCC elections will be held for officer positions for the 25-26 school year.
