This fund supports activities that facilitate the success of the undergraduate course IE 4350 Industrial Engineering Capstone Design. This course provides an open-ended design experience through the planning and design of an enterprise in which the student must demonstrate the ability to design, develop, implement, and improve integrated systems that include people, materials, information, equipment and energy. This capstone draws on material from the total industrial engineering curriculum, and capstone projects are performed in a wide range of domains, including health care, manufacturing, and the service industry.
Give to the Industrial Engineering Capstone DesignThis fund was established by Industrial Engineering Alumnus Keith Weiss and his wife Carolyn to recognize students that are employed at least part-time while earning their undergraduate degree. To support his studies at UT Arlington, Keith Weiss worked full-time during summers and part-time during winters. Scholarships are awarded to employed undergraduate students majoring in Industrial Engineering.
Give to the Keith And Carolyn Weiss IE Scholarship FundThis fund, in memory of the beloved IMSE faculty member, provides support for the department chair to address unbudgeted IMSE expenses as they arise throughout the year. Such expenses may include scholarships, equipment purchases and maintenance, support for student organizations, and many other programs and projects.
