UTA Magazine won the Grand Award for full-color magazines in the 2006 Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District IV Awards Competition.

Judges evaluated the writing, photography, graphic design, concept and audience response in three issues: spring/summer 2005, fall 2005 and winter 2006.

“This award recognizes UTA Magazine as the best magazine produced by any university in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Louisiana,” said UT Arlington Public Affairs Director Bob Wright.

The periodical also received an Award of Excellence in the Communicator Awards 2006 Print Competition in the magazine/educational institution category. About 14 percent of the more than 5,200 entries from all 50 states and several countries won an Award of Excellence, the highest recognition.
