UTA Veteran's Edge Peer Mentor Program

Our mission

The Veterans Edge Peer Mentor program connects new UTA military-connected students with established junior and senior-level peers who serve as mentors. Having experienced and overcome many of the same challenges, these mentors provide personal guidance, academic support, and resource referral to encourage student involvement and help ease the transition to being a student at UTA.

In addition to our team of military-connected student peer mentors:

  • 53 military-affiliated UTA faculty and staff identify as mentors within their academic college or department.
  • 42 community partners & UTA alumni serve as mentors by assisting with resource connections and career networking.
