Although Claudia Sheinbaum is Mexico’s first female president and the first female president of a North American nation, some women’s right activists are unsure of her stance regarding women’s rights. UTA’s Xavier Medina Vidal and Christopher Chamber’s-Ju say skepticism surrounding Sheinbaum’s commitment to feminism is “justified,” reports the Latin Times.

Some school districts ban cellphone use among students

Although some schools are restricting the use of cellphones among students, parents are divided over whether the ban is a good thing. College of Education Professor Dan Robinson told News Nation that some type of regulation of cellphone use is good, as it would keep students focused in class but still allow parents to check in with them.
