Dog speech research

WFAA featured Kenny Zhu, a professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department, and his ongoing work to decode dog speech. The story continues to be picked up by news stations all over the country, including California, New York, and Florida, as well as other Texas cities such as San Antonio and Austin.

Father’s Day

Univision featured the father and son who are working on their Master of Business Administration degrees together at UTA's College of Business. The story has also been covered by NBC 5 and Telemundo 39.

Patents

The Dallas Morning News wrote about UT System schools ranking among the most innovative universities in the country for the number of patents received. UTA is mentioned in the story, as it had 20 patents awarded in FY23. Venu Varanasi, an associate professor in the Department of Graduate Nursing, told the DMN that more patents open the door for more funding.

Hydrogen panel

KERA covered the North Central Texas Hydrogen User Forum hosted at UTA. Chris Boyer, associate professor in the resource and energy engineering program, said hydrogen has a lot of benefits as a fuel to solve energy and environmental issues.
