National ranking for UTA nursing
The University of Texas at Arlington’s online Master of Science in Nursing degree program is ranked among the best in the nation by Learn.org’s 2020 list.
The program, which is offered through UTA’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation (CoNHI), ranked No. 18 nationally among nursing schools with online MSN programs.
The Master of Science in Nursing program prepares registered nurses for advanced functional roles that require increased accountability, expertise and leadership. Graduates are prepared to provide evidence-based health care in collaboration with other health care providers and consumers.
“This is a remarkable accomplishment that re-affirms our stature as a leading center for nursing education and health care research,” said Elizabeth Merwin, dean of CoNHI. “I am thankful for our faculty and staff, who continue to work to address nursing shortages while maintaining the highest level of academic rigor, quality of instruction and training.”
The impact of UTA’s MSN graduates in the workforce is reflected across the nation, but especially in North Texas. UTA partners with various area hospitals—such as Medical City Arlington, Texas Health Resources, UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health—to fulfill patient care needs. CoNHI is the No. 1 producer of baccalaureate-degreed nurses in Texas.
According to Learn.org, online graduate program rankings are based on academic and career resources, the quality of education and faculty. Its school ranking methodology categorizes and assesses data from schools and other sources, such as the U.S. Department of Education, and weighs the information based on quality, cost, value and other factors critical to students' academic decisions.
