Language Assistant Stipend Pilot Program
UTA stands as a beacon of academic excellence and commitment, drawing students from numerous linguistic backgrounds. As an institution at the forefront of global education, UTA recognizes the value of seamless communication in ensuring an enriching academic experience for every student. With this in mind, the Language Assistant Stipend Pilot Program is a dedicated effort to enhance linguistic accessibility and support for staff in roles that have direct and impactful interactions with our student community.
This Pilot Program provides compensation for language assistants with a stipend of $1,500 per year, and paid month-over-month as supplemental pay.
The aim of this program is to cultivate a supportive linguistic framework at UTA tailored specifically for our staff in student-facing roles. This endeavor will offer support in nine languages predominantly spoken by our students: English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, French, Tagalog, Urdu, Korean, Vietnamese, and Hindi.
