As one of the nation’s most diverse universities, The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is committed to recruit and hire talent that mirrors the demographics of our institution, help the institution reach its goals, and serve our students.

We understand that finding the right candidate for a job can be overwhelming, and as the competition for qualified talent increases, organizations similar to UTA are finding success in utilizing various strategies such as pathways (also known as pipelines). On October 2024, UTA will be launching is second pathways. The purpose of this pathway is to address employment barriers for individuals with disabilities. This initiative includes an accessibility audit, inclusive hiring training for staff, and partnerships with local disability organizations to create a robust talent pipeline. Workshops and structured support mechanisms, such as mentorship and regular check-ins, will ensure successful integration and retention of employees. By continuously monitoring and improving the program, UT Arlington aims to enhance workforce engagement and foster a culture of belonging and equal opportunity.
Our goal is to ensure greater equity of opportunity for individuals with disability. We aim to em-power individuals with disabilities to become the competitive and sought-after candidates in the job market."
