EPA recognized UT Arlington for outstanding leadership in the sustainable management of food through the Food Recovery Challenge (FRC). The Food Recovery Challenge is a partnership among EPA, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Food and Drug Administration, to reduce food loss and waste through combined federal action. Together the participants of the FRC prevented & diverted over 1.2 million tons of food waste from entering landfills & incinerators!
