Yes. Students must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant (FAFSA filers) and all students must be Texas Grant eligible and have family income of $100,000 or less.

No. Students must enroll full-time in the fall semester following their high school graduation or associate degree completion.
No. Students enter the T3 program their first semester at UTA. If they don’t qualify at the time of initial enrollment, they cannot pick it up the next year and so on.
Students will receive a hard-copy letter in the mail. They will also receive an email to their UTA email address. If you did not receive the congratulatory letter by May 30, you did not qualify for the T3 Last Dollar Scholarship. Often this is due to missed deadlines or not meeting the income or PELL grant eligibility requirements. There is no appeal process.
As a UTA T3 Scholar, you will be awarded enough aid to cover tuition & course fees up to approximately $12,100 per year (2024-25). These grants may be a combination of federal Pell Grant, TEXAS Grant, UTA grants and scholarships.

No. The T3 Last Dollar Scholarship is equal to your tuition and course fees. You may use other types of aid (payment plans, loans, private scholarships) to pay for additional college expenses.

No. Students must meet UTA’s T3 admission and financial aid deadlines, and financial eligibility requirements. Students must have completed an associate degree prior to UTA enrollment. If a student lost eligibility while enrolled at TCC, the student ceases to be eligible and is not reinstated by UTA. It is recommended that you stay in close contact with UTA’s admission staff at utat3@uta.edu.
Spring transfers are not guaranteed to receive the T3 Last Dollar Scholarship due to fund availability. Spring transfers are still encouraged to apply for admissions and may qualify for other types of financial aid based on FAFSA or TASFA eligibility. It is recommended that eligible scholars with an associate degree apply for the fall semester.
The T3 Last Dollar Scholarship does not transfer between the 4-year partner institutions.
