Transfer Scholarship

UTA offers scholarship support to high performing, incoming, undergraduate, transfer students that are working on their first baccalaureate degree. The value of our transfer scholarship awards ranges from $1,000 to $5,000 per year and may be renewed for up to one year. Students are offered the highest scholarship value they are eligible to receive based on their academic credentials and available funds. The award amounts vary based upon the individual profile.

Eligible transfer students must meet or exceed these requirements:

• 3.25 minimum cumulative transfer GPA
• 24 transferable credit hours

Scholarship consideration for the Transfer Scholarships with a value of $2,000 to $5,000 annually requires receipt of all admissions documents by February 14, 2024. Scholarship consideration for the Transfer Scholarships with a value of $1,000 annually requires receipt of all admissions documents by July 3, 2024. Transfer Scholarships at the $1,000 level may be offered to students that meet the February 14, 2024 scholarship deadline as Transfer Scholarship offers are made based on merit.

This scholarship includes the non-resident waiver for students that are not residents of the State of Texas. This will reduce tuition and fees to the level paid by in-state residents for up to two years if the student remains in good academic standing for the duration of the scholarship.
