Shamila Sivakumaran

Shamila Sivakumaran (She/her), MSW, received her Master of Social Work from Madras Christian College in India and her Bachelor of Arts a combination of drama and theatre and psychology from the University of Jaffna in Sri Lanka. Additionally, she completed a post-graduate diploma in counseling psychology from the Centre for Global Leadership Development, Bangalore, India in 2022. She has held field and management positions at government and nongovernmental organizations since 2006. She served as a lecturer and field supervisor at the School of Social Work in Sri Lanka. She has published seven papers on social work education and fieldwork in reputed publications. Her research interests include social work education, fieldwork education, mental health, and psychosocial well-being, holistic community development, and war-affected communities.
