Christie Eckler
With over 20 years of dedicated service in the nonprofit sector, Christie Eckler is a seasoned macro social worker, nonprofit executive, and certified fundraising executive. Throughout her career, she has empowered those who help others, holding diverse leadership roles across nonprofit settings with a focus on macro social work, marketing, development, and fundraising.
Christie has also spent 12 years teaching macro social work courses at the University of Texas at Arlington’s School of Social Work. Her journey in social work over the past two decades has been multifaceted, with experience ranging from frontline case management to behind-the-scenes program leadership. Her primary research interest is in the support systems for individuals in helping professions, a topic that has been the cornerstone and main passion of her career. She is deeply concerned about the increasing departure of talented professionals from fields like social work, nursing, and education, driven by the absence of sustainable support and resources. Christie's work and research aims to highlight the need for mentoring, coaching, training, and other essential resources to ensure that leaders driven to serve others have the tools they need to thrive, especially as they confront some of humanity's most challenging issues.
