Angela Hall
Angela, a product of the inner-city school district in Rochester, NY, is deeply committed to addressing education inequality, a challenge she has personally experienced. She earned two master’s degrees—one in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester and another in Social Work from Nazareth University. Drawing on her extensive experience as an intern, care manager, and social worker in medicine, gerontology, and education, Angela aims to explore the factors influencing access to quality education for African American students in K-12. Her research seeks to bridge the gap between urban and suburban school districts curricula by developing training programs for educators that promote educational equity. Through culturally responsive and socio-emotional professional development workshops, she aspires to close the achievement gap and foster educational equality within both schools and the broader communities they serve.
