Treasure Island
Treasure Island
Robert Louis Stevenson, adapted by Bryony Lavery
Bryony Lavery’s adaptation of “Treasure Island” reimagines Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale with a fresh perspective and modern gender twist. The story follows the beloved young protagonist, Jim Hawkins, as she embarks on a thrilling adventure to find buried treasure, encountering pirates and facing many dangers along the way.
This recent thrilling adaptation, first performed at the National Theatre in London, brilliantly captures the imagination, excitement and wit of the novel while also endearing itself to a new generation of audiences. The production will be guest directed by Jay Duffer, the Artistic Director of Amphibian Stage in Fort Worth.
